IMPORTANT TIMING INFORMATION
The 2010 Barry-Roubaix will be timed using ChronoTrack Systems, featuring the disposable D-tag. You will no longer be required to return your chip at the finish line.
Please follow these timing tag placement instructions to be sure you are timed accurately.
-
Remove the D-tag from your race number by grasping the D-tag at the black rectangle and peeling it from the number.
-
Detach the instruction section for disposal.
-
Remove the adhesive tab located under the black rectangle.
-
Align the holes with the black rectangle adhesive tab on top of the non-adhesive tab. Press firmly to secure. When complete the D-tag should be in an "O" shape.
-
Place the supplied multi-purpose tie through the hole and attach the D-tag to your front brake cable above the fork as pictured below.
Please note that for proper operation of the D-tag it must be formed into the shape of an "O" and not be placed near any metal.
Some common placement errors that cause the D-tag to malfunction are:
-
Wrapping the D-tag around metal, such as a fork, frame or handlebar.
-
Folding the D-tag flat or bending it in the middle causing damage to the electronics.
-
Rolling the D-tag into a small coil.
If you are unable to attach the D-tag to your bike as pictured, please see Tony at the start/finish line to discuss an alternative attachment method.
